Mud Room Work BootsThe Mud Room is about 15' x 15', if not larger. Since it is a farm, everyone has their rubber work boots!
Mud RoomEach family member, including the grandchildren, have their own locker with hooks for coats and book bags, cubby hole above for storage and space below for shoes. This is only 2 of the walls.
KitchenOf my clients, the husband is the chef of the family. He carefully researched upgrades, changes and gadgets to make the kitchen his private domain. It has about anything and everything you would ever want! Bar stools are from Emeco. Kitchen island fixture was made by Hubbardton Forge.
Kitchen Into DR & LRThis is a view of the entire space from behind the kitchen island. As you can see, the hub, the living space of the home, is all together. Perfect for a large, growing family and entertaining!
Dining RoomMy clients collect original art. As there was less wall space in the farmhouse, they culled through their collection and we only hung their favorites. The Dining Room suspension light is a Lightology original. The 12 dining chairs (only 8 shown) were covered in a snakeskin vinyl and made by Carrington Court.
Living Room Sitting AreaThe Living Room is divided into two areas. This is the sitting area. The chairs were from their previous home. The sofa was recovered in a nubby linen. The tables and cubes are from Aiden Gray. The metal wallpaper roller lamp is an original piece from my collection.
Original Art over FireplaceIn the middle of the Living Room space is a tiled fireplace with a raised hearth to sit on with an original piece of art from my clients' collection.
Living Room TV AreaThis is the TV area of the Living Room. The two upholstered cubes are from Aiden Gray, as are the end tables. The swivel chair pair were made by Pearson. The window treatments are full panels with grommets on a 2" rod, making it easy to close them at night.
Powder RoomI had a lot of fun with the Powder Room. I had 6" clear cut pine boards installed horizontally, designed and had made the vanity, added a farmhouse pendant and painted everything a dark gray. My clients were thrilled!
Bar Side ViewWe included sink, ice maker, fridge with lots of counter space and plenty of upper and lower storage. The back splash is aluminum horizontal tiles. I chose a contemporary glass with fluting for the upper cabinets.
Bar Front ViewThe bar opens, through double french doors, to a long and large front porch over looking the farm. To the right of the bar is an full bath for easy access when entertaining outside without having to go through the entire home.
Master Bath ShowerWe designed the shower with no threshold and no doors. It is large enough and the floor angled that water is contained.
Total renovation and design project for my client’s working farm and new residence. They wanted simple and relaxed, as a gathering place for their large, growing family of children and grandchildren. We succeeded.
